海沿いの街に住んでいた頃、抜けるような黄色のドアのマンションに住んでいました。外国の人が多く住むこの町では、隣の部屋の人は、どこかの外国の人。下の階の人は、インド人。帰ってくるといつもカレーの匂いや、オリエンタルな匂いが窓からぷんぷん漏れ出ていました。
この部屋でつくつく歌っていた歌達が、隣や、下に聴こえていたかもしれない。丘の上にあるマンションの3階から。鳩が住み込んでいる屋上までの階段を上がって屋上に出ると黄色い夕日にかかる山がよく見えました。坂を下ると海が眩しかったあの黄色い町の歌達です。

When I lived in a coastal town, I lived in an apartment with a yellow door that could be pulled through. In this town where many foreigners live, the person in the next room is probably a foreigner. The people downstairs are Indian. Whenever I came home, the smell of curry and oriental scents was leaking out of the window.
The songs I was singing so intently in this room could have been heard next door or downstairs. From the third floor of an apartment building on the hill. When I went up the stairs to the rooftop where the pigeons lived, I could clearly see the mountains covered in the yellow sunset. These are songs from that yellow town where the sea was dazzling when you went down the hill.
